Wasan qualified from Baghdad University in 1992. Following this, she obtained her master’s degree in periodontology and worked as a tutor at the College of Dentistry, Baghdad. After relocating to Ireland, she gained further post graduate qualifications and became a member of The Royal College of Surgeons (Ireland). Wasan then worked for one year at Belfast Hospital, and a further year in Bristol Dental Hospital where she gained a wealth of experience in oral surgery and restorative dentistry. In 2006, Wasan joined the High Street Dental Practice. During this time, she has also completed her postgraduate certificate in restorative dentistry from the highly regarded Eastman Institute in London.

Alongside working at the practice, she works in the emergency out of hours clinic twice a week, helping patients with acute pain and other dental emergencies, which she finds to be very rewarding. Both at the practice and in the emergency clinic, Wasan focuses on a calm approach when dealing with nervous patients.

Wasan’s particular passion lies in adult short-term orthodontics, and she takes pride in understanding patients’ needs and providing beautiful and long-lasting smiles. More recently, Wasan has broadened her horizons by completing training in facial aesthetics.
